Dr. John A. Cianciola completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at SUNY at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, graduating with Thesis Honors and special recognition for Outstanding Clinical Research. Dr. Cianciola received his Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from SUNY at Geneseo. Additionally, he has completed advanced training through the Misch Implant Institute and Peter Dawson’s Center for Advanced Dental Study. John has been a faculty member for The Misch Implant Institute and Resnik Implant Institute since 1999. Dr. Cianciola is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine and has published papers about advanced technology and lasers in dentistry. Additionally, he is also in part time private practice in Periodontics and Implantology.
For 14 years, Dr. Cianciola was a managing partner at Cianciola & Beach Periodontal Group in Rochester, New York, where he treated patients in all phases of Periodontal and implant surgical care. He specializes in cosmetic procedures such as crown lengthening, soft tissue grafts, bone grafts, implants, periodontal plastic surgery, facial esthetics, Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy and Photobiomodulation.
Dr. Cianciola served as President of his County Dental Society, and ran a study club for dentists, and an additional dental hygiene study club for over for 250 hygienists. John enjoys helping dentists and hygienists become skillful in all phases of periodontics, implantology and bone grafting treatment.
